Teachers! - Are you still a Role Models!?

Image
The aspiration to pursue a career in teaching was once regarded as a very personal and passionate endeavour. However, the perception of this vocation has shifted, as it is now more adopted as a trendy pursuit, with a diminished emphasis on genuine passion and commitment to the profession. During my childhood, I derived immense pleasure from engaging in imaginative play, particularly a game called "Teacher-Teacher," where I would assume the role of my beloved Manjula Teacher. She held the position of Head responsible for overseeing the Primary Teacher. She exhibited exceptional administrative skills. Occasionally, I observe the children residing in the local vicinity engaging in a shared recreational activity, wherever they infrequently assume the roles of their educators. Subsequently, subsequent to some convincing, I acquired knowledge that the individuals in question harboured a collective aversion towards their educators, substantiated by an extensive inventory of...

World in English net—I

World in English net—I Today we come across two popular words ‘Globalisation’ and ‘Recession’. It sounds abstract, yet able to understand with in one’s limitation and unable to know in fullest length. You call it as universal language or global language or world language ---- it is one and the same i.e., our English language. It is common to see people speaking more often in English than in one’s own mother tongue or native language. English is just not for communicating, but today it is seen as opening doors in to the world in various fields. IMPORTANCE OF FRIENDSHIP IN CONFIDENCE BUILDING

Image
A friend is a person with whom I may be sincere. Before him/her I may think aloud--- Ralph Waldo Emerson As the native saying goes ‘One loyal friend is worth thousands of relatives.’ Friends are indeed rare jewels that make us smile and encourage us to succeed. One’s relationship within one’s family, parents, relatives determines one’s long-term preferences, attitudes and values. During adolescence, friendship is nurtured more so and the relationship with ‘friends’ determines a wholesome individual. Right from toddler age- the companionship of same age group makes way for comfortable playing and enjoyment. It is from this age we start moving in groups, join hands, play with each others’ toys, make new friends, learn from each other, pretend, imagine, imitate, learn to use new words, exchange and share and also show agreements and disagreements. This initial foundation continues as we grow and helps us to build up new relationships in neighbourhood, schools, colleges, and at work pla...

Apartment Etiquette

Apartment Etiquette In present day world most of us are able to make our dream come true. In the bird’s eye view, thanks to the eruption of ‘CEMEMT CONCRETE JUNGLES’, which has enabled us to build our own nest for our own livelihood in present days of living. Thanks to the apartment association formation, this binds all the occupants with certain binding rules and regulations. Life in apartments has many advantages on one side and, has its own disadvantages too. Taking the positive aspects, let’s congratulate our thought for “live and let live attitude”. How far we are practical and do justice to our attitudes---- we need to question our selves. Here again social behaviour of every individual counts for harmony of others. We human’s so called very successful in our profession, work place, home, fail to adapt to “Apartment Etiquette”. As we also practice to preach to others than practice to self. We also fail to understand that the way we make  a move or changes of our...
