January month is the month of celebrations for Gonds and Kolams. Gond Adivasis worship is a month-long traditional celebration of Goddess Jangu Bai. Raj Gonds, Kolams, and their sub-tribes known as the aboriginal tribal communities worship the shrine of Jangu Bai which, according to Adivasis, is believed to have been formed naturally 25,000 years ago. Jangubai, or Raitaar Jango, is the Sadar Pen or the chief goddess of eight Gond sagas or clans and therefore the most revered of all the mythological personalities in Adivasi ethos. The Jangu Bai deity, a wish-granting Goddess, pilgrimage occurs in the auspicious Poos month as per the Gondi calendar and Pushyam month as per the Telugu calendar. The Gonds have a strong belief that the Goddess fulfills their wishes when worshipped with dedication and devotion. My feelings of compassion and kindness towards the tribal population in general, and more specifically towards the Raj Gonds (sub-sects) of the undivided Adilabad district of Telangana State How do I say… feel pity or sorry or..or..or... In general, I am very interested in learning about the way of life, occupations, eating habits, cultural practices, and religious beliefs of aborigines. I, too, am recording it. Only pure enthusiasm and nothing else drives me to do this. I am also curious about the straightforward way of life that appears to be lived to its fullest extent with a level of contentment that we do not possess. Over the course of time, I had the opportunity to get to know a few of the Gond tribal students who attended Adilabad. My eyes were opened to new possibilities by men who were both highly energetic and creative. This was an experiment highlighting tribal health issues,  rigid superstitious believes and practices and services for the tribes by Integrated Tribal Development Agnecy-ITDA, Utnoor, Adilabad. India is the home to a large number of aboriginal people known as Adivasi meaning tribal people. These primitive tribal people live in secluded places near like hillocks, forest zones, away from the by the lifestyle of the modern world. These tribal people are the poorest in the country, who is still dependent on gathering food, hunting, agriculture, and fishing. The tribal people have their own culture, tradition, language and lifestyle. This allows outsiders to get an insight into many different cultures of tribal India. Tribes in India constitute 8.61% of the total population of the country, numbering 104.28 million (2011 Census). Raja Gonds tribes are one among them. Gonds tribes (Tribes are known as Adivasi) are spread across Telangana, Maharashtra and are also in Madhya Pradesh. I conducted a one-week training workshop on Puppetry at Nizamabad. Two Gonds tribe youth who are pursuing their higher education also accompanied me. I was moved by their involvement, commitment, and sincerity. Gonds tribes (Tribes known as Adivasi) are spread across Telangana, Maharashtra, and are also in Madhya Pradesh. They speak the  Gondi language -- it's  new and quite funny. Interestingly, the Gondi language belongs to the  Dravidian family of languages and is related to Tamil and Kannada.   I liked the language and as an eager language learner, I am now learning this language at a low pace. I love their music and songs. During my interaction, I could gather lots of information about the harmonious living nature of these Gonds , Eco-friendly practices, culture, eating habits, and so on.
