GhotulPito: Gondi culture and dance forms among Raj Gonds

Image
Gond tribes (Tribes known as Adivasi) are spread across Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, and are also in Madhya Pradesh. Interestingly, the Gondi language belongs to the Dravidian family of languages and is related to Tamil and Kannada. Recent excavation of the Gondi lipi at Gunjal Village, Narnurmandal of Adilabad District states the gerontology of this language could be older than Dravidian languages like Tamil, Kannada, or Telugu, or perhaps the origin of these languages could be traced through Gondi language too. Adilabad District of Andhra Pradesh is a Hub of Gonds, Kolams, Andha, Pradhan, Thoti, Nayakpod, and other primitive tribes. Gonds dominate in number over other tribes. According to Pradhan-Subsect of Gond tribes are professional storytellers -oral narrators. The origin of gonads is believed that after giving birth to children, a mother abandoned them and it was the goddess Parvati rescued them, but her consort Sri ShambhuMahadev (Shiva) who kept them captive in a cave. Mahabharata-DoorDharshan Verses Star TV

Image
Mahabharata Epic re telecast in with new artists crew. This forces me to make an analysis of characters and roles. Often, I get confused with the characters and think about the role justification. Again, wonder-when Krishna says 'ALL IS ME'...Quite interesting the flow is as I read and re-read. As I child, I liked Ramayana, then as I looked into life and various situations, I could get answers more from Mahabharata. I was thrilled by the ads floating about the relaunch of the Mahabharata episode on Star TV. I am happy to have watched the B.R. Chopra's Mahabharata. Well, this new attempt is packed with good graphics, new star crew with whom the present generation will be able to identify. However, I was still finding it all together new as, the situations plotted have come to my notice for the first time. For me it's my father who has narrated the story of Mahabharata-so I consider him as Veda Vyasa. I too was too reluctant to listen as I had my own presumption an

But Why????

Being away from blog post made me miss all of you! Yes, all of a sudden I refrained from so many things........The only question bothering like a bug me was 'WHY'??? Its Why, why and only Why???.   My father said-'It happens.....When one hit forty...' Ah!! In and out tapped with WHY and unable to untangle is my situation.. Again, why should I post a new post?? When I meet or speak to others over phone or so, I am able to read the unjust life one is leading.  But Why?? All of a sudden I find my friends greet with a plastic smile on their face…. But Why??? More and more advancement in electronic communication system and gadget—less and less is the personal contacts within the family members. We don’t even speak or greet… waning the bond of relationship….but Why??? Again family is the first place of acquaintance is seen as a place of threat or most unsafe place - ' FATHER, BROTHERS, GRANDFATHER, UNCLES'.....'   Yet a daughter, sister, wife, d
