Acharya Devo Bhava—the Vanishing Mantra

The Teacher is the third person who is respected and worshipped as Visible God next to Parents. It is the Mother and father worshiped and regarded as living and visible God “MATHRU DEVO BHAVA, PITUR DEVO BHAVA” and then it is “ACHRYA DEVO BHAVA”.

Where do children get to learn first?-It is at HOME-by Parents, then SCHOOL-Teachers and finally SOCIETY. These components influence on children’s growth, development and make them responsible citizens.

But these Mantras hold no good today. Why????

Where have we gone wrong, Is it at HOME, or at SCHOOL or at the SOCIETY????

This is second news about teachers being killed and stabbed to death by students.

The police on Monday arrested one of the two students accused of allegedly mowing down a school teacher because he refused to allow one of their friends to cheat in the Hrayana Board Exam (April10, 2012)

A teacher was stabbed to death in the classroom of a private school allegedly by a 15-year-old student who was upset at being repeatedly reprimanded by her for not doing well in studies. (February9, 2012).

A teacher is a person who provides education for pupils (students/children). Worldwide, teaching is held as a highly noble profession. I recall in one of the interviews wherein, Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam sir (Scientist and former President of India) claimed the credit fro his success goes to his TEACHERS right from his schooling.

Sad to say that this noble profession is lacking of noble teachers. Many are scared to take up this profession. I can imagine that high influence of anti elements viruses of negativism has spread across the society and is also polluting the minds of parents who fail to teach their wards to respect teachers. Again, education system has to undergo change and imbibe right education to students and safe guard student and teachers communities.....

Comments

Well, these days I read a lot of sexual harassment and molestation of girl students by male teachers and Headmasters across the country. It is really very shameful!
Again, I watched a TV programme revolving around four teachers-One male and female teachers colleagues -involved in extra material relationship murdering a Headmaster, unfortunately husband of the female teacher and helped by another Headmaster.......
