Udi udi re Patang mori ude re… Udi udi re patang mori udi re… This is the song seldom heard these days over the radio. I still recollect the wonderful story called “Kaki” a Bal Sahitya by Siyaram Sharan Gupt in Hindi  In this particular story, the writer emphatically emphasizes the use of a Kite by the little boy to send a message to his departed mother. I am still touched by the story and when looking up high in the sky, all the colorful kites flying, think deep in, maybe amongst all one kite could be such that is carrying a message to near and dear ones if not all. Makar Sankranthi is the first festival of Uttarayana is the festival in most parts of India that welcomes Kite flying. 1. My cute Puppy My very cute Puppy, He is very Fluffy, He gets up early in the morning, To make our morning boring. Then we try to give a bath, But, he pushes the bucket-'Dum, Dum, Dum', He has very bad habits, With which he makes very dirty pits. I sleep with my lovely pet, with his toilet he makes my bed wet. 2. Many of your friends like 'Cushion' and 'Chair', You don't hesitate against anyone to care, Everyone say that you are bad, Hearing this I feel sad. Sometime bad, sometime good, Against someone you should. 3. Underground You are brown in colour, Everyone put on you a new driller, You bear infinite buildings, But you don't feel guilty. You are first to feel the earthquake, Some also keep the oven on you and bake, You are home for many things, I don't know your home which is a sad thing. 4. Birds Birds fly here an

I started getting calls to know the meaning of '--Kolaveri. Kolaveri being a Tamil word. It is composition of two word-'Kolai' and 'veri'. Kilao means to kill and veri means-range. Kolaveri means Killing range or murderous range. I was surprise that why people are calling me to just know the meaning of kolaveri.. I asked my little champ and he said it the new Soup song sung by Tamil actor Dhanush. He said it is also the song of the year and started humming Why this Kolaveri Kolaveri di...? My curiosity to listen to this song did not grew, until I started to see that right from Abdul bhai,- the vegetable vendor, Suresh babu-newspaper boy, then Yadva Reddy Insurance agent, vasanthalaxmi laundry lady to Mangamma flower selle. Mangamma is quite old to sing this, but yet she sang climbing up and climbing down the staircase of our apartment. This perhaps acted as mantra for her... I don't know. Then at work place Praveen asked me with the same question. Oh!God! Forgiv
