What is Love?

Is it tempestuous moments spend together or,
Is it exchange of hugs and kisses, or
Is it meaningful nights spend rolling on, or
Is it the hot and violent gestures temptation, or
Is it getting started and getting addicted, or
Is it the often exchange of three word syllable, or
Is it holding hands and looking into each other’s eyes. Or
Is it lovely fight had over nights, or
Is it sweat remembrance of Dating days and Wedding days, or
Is it going on long drives with beloved with subtle music on, or
Is it presenting gifts and expensive saree or jewellery set, or
Is it living like a husband and wife and rearing kids, or
Is it cooking all those favourite dishes for the candle light dinner, or
Is it the beautiful face and dutiful mind, or
Is it wild nature with moments of joys and frustrations, or
Is it warmth of such a companion for lifelong who touches our heart and soul with closed eyes, untouched hands, and unspoken words?

Tamasha is a traditional Marathi folk art form. It includes both singing and dancing forms. It is widely performed theatre groups within the state of Maharashtra, India. It is in fact a mobile theatre that goes to different regions of Maharashtra. The word ‘Tamasha’ is Persian origin meaning ‘to have fun or to play’. Today, this word is commonly used in Hindi, Marathi, Kannada and Urdu. Again, some have researched the origin of the word Tamasha to Turkish langaugeand has entered into urdu and finally borrowed from Urdu to Marathi.   Dakkebali is a form of snake worship also known as Nagaradhane. Dakkebali ritual is practiced in the town of Padubidri in the Udupi district, Karnataka, India. Padubidre Brahmastana as it is known as a place of Shakti worship in Parashurama Kshetra located on the west coast of Southern India in Tulunadu of Karnataka State. The festival is held once two years. This pooja is performed for Naga, Bramha, Raktheshwari, Nandikonna, Haygulli, Kshetrapala, Bagilu Bobbarya, Motukalu Bobbarya, and Yakshi. Oggu Katha is a traditional folklore singing praising and narrating the stories of the Hindu God Mallana. Mallanna Katha which is performed by the Oggu Pujarulu (minstrels) to their patron community, the seven Kurumas / Gollas. Mallanna Katha is their caste myth, which narrates the exploits of Mallanna their caste hero. As the Mallanna Katha is narrated using a particular percussion instrument called as "Oggu" by "Oggu Pujarulu" it is popularly termed as Oggu Katha.  In other words, Oggu Katha is the style of narration, which belongs to a distinct genre with an admixture of song-speech-dance-sequence performed by 5 to 7 performers having a lead narrator within them. I participated in a National Seminar Organised by P.S Telugu University, Hyderabad on “Indian Literature and Dalit Culture” on October 29-31, 2012. One session dealt with the Mayalaya Dalits condition and subjudication to various kinds of atrocities especially women. Can one imagine such things being imposed in a country like India which stands for rich culture, tradition, and heritage? More so with Kerala state-God’s own Land. We today oppose to various fashion shows, Miss Universe, Miss World Contests, and undervalue if girls are dressed in jeans, or short skirts with spaghetti tops and so on. One paper by Ms. Maria Kutty Joseph moved me. It was like suddenly shocking jerks I received. I had read some aspects about Kerala Culture, dress, food, status of women and so on. I never imagined the torture on women especially lower caste women would be so horrible in the19th century or prior to it. Renuka or Yellamma has secured special place as the Goddess (devi), in the Hinduism. Yellamma is a supporter goddess of rural folk of Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. Her devotees have revered her as the "Mother of the Universe" or Jagadamba.
